Profile of Consultants Project Consultant: Mr. John Quek (Worklife Solutions)
He has conducted briefings on specific work-life strategy topics over at SNEF and has experience in the preparation of work-life training course materials. Throughout his tenure at SNEF, he has assisted more than 100 companies in their application of the work-life grants and other Government initiatives. These companies comprises of MNCs, private institutions and non-profit organizations. As a work-life project officer, he provides work-life consultation and advisory services to both members and non-members companies. As an ongoing Human Resource Practitioner and PMC qualified management consultant, John is equipped with more than 5 years of Executive search, Talent management and Job Redesign experience. John graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Master of Human Resources & Industrial relations and a Masters in Business Research. He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Corporate Finance and Management) from the same campus and an invitation by the University to do honours for both of his majors was a testimony of his excellent academic results. He also has a Diploma of Business (with Merit), majoring in Finance and Human Resource and is an ACTA qualified trainer.
Dr. Amy Daniel (Personal Work-Life Effectiveness Trainer)
Dr. Daniel has designed and conducted customized training workshops for a variety of government agencies, statutory boards, corporate bodies, schools and junior colleges as well as voluntary organizations and welfare agencies. She was appointed in 2001 as Resource Speaker and Family Life Ambassador by MCYS to promote family life and parent education. In 2004 she was recruited by MCYS’ Personal Work-Life Effectiveness Unit to promote sound work-life strategies in the corporate world. She was also appointed by the President of Singapore to serve on the Panel of Advisors to the Juvenile Court for two years. Her previous appointments include a five-year stint as Student Counsellor at the National University of Singapore, and Student Counsellor and Staff Formator at a local independent school. Presently Dr. Daniel lectures in the Diploma in Organisational Counselling, the Certificate in Applied Psychology as well as the Work Skills Training Programmes at the Singapore Human Resources Institute. She also conducts training workshops on emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, interpersonal excellence and basic counselling skills for the Institute. At the Executive Counselling and Training Academy she lectures in developmental psychology and cross-cultural issues in counselling and also serves as clinical supervisor and personal therapist. She has also designed and conducts courses on cross-cultural sensitivity in customer service for the Central Singapore Joint Social Service Centre. She undertakes individual counselling by appointment.
Edward Whistler Goh (Job Redesign Project Consultant)
Being a Master Coach and Dynamic Facilitator, Eddie has worked closely with top executives and senior management of Multi National Companies, Statutory Boards and Local Companies on formulation and development of international and corporate business strategies. His multi-disciplinary skills include Strategic Internationalization Planning, Scenario Planning, Financial Analysis, Value Based Management, International Branding, Project Management, Productivity & Cost -Reduction programs, Business Process Re-engineering, Leadership and Teambuilding, and other personal excellence and professional development programs. Prior to founding EWI, Eddie has the distinct honor of being the first Asian to be appointed as Chief of Operations for an international management consulting & training firm based in Punta Gorda, Florida, USA. He has successfully led and managed a regional team of over 100 highly skilled professionals in analyzing and implementing value management and business improvement projects in South East Asia. Currently, he has successfully completed many national initiatives such as Strategic Planning for Internationalization, Branding, Work & Job Redesign (People Partners Award by Spring Singapore 2002 and 2003), Business Continuity Planning, Enterprises Capability Development, Service Excellence, etc. Eddie holds a MBA in International Management from Royal Holloway College, University of London. His credentials include Accredited Corporate Trainer in BPR, Communication Strategies with IMPAC University, USA; Qualified ISO 9000 Assessor with Battalas Handley Walker; Masters in Productivity with the Association of Productivity Specialist (APS), New York, USA; Certified Trainer with the American Management Association (AMA); Accredited TEC Chair/Executive Coach; Council Member with the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMa). He is currently pursuing his Doctorate in International Business with the University of Western Australia.
