Dealing With Teenagers  

Many parents have difficulty dealing with their teenage children. They blame themselves when their darling children suddenly change into “monsters”. Parents also expect their teenage children to continue to behave the way they did when they were age six! Too many parents are unaware that teenage is a necessary stage of development in which children begin to detach from their parents and learn to think and act independently. Children need to go through this phase to develop into independent adults capable of making their own way in the world. Parents need to recognize that their teenage children are “trainee adults” going through a very confusing in-between period between childhood and adulthood. As such, it is the parents who need to change the way they talk to and interact with their teenage children. Parents come and learn about adolescence how you can support your teenage children as they steer through this challenging stage of development.

Neck & Shoulder Massage Therapy 


massageThis therapy is a combination of Swedish and deep tissue massage. Deep Tissue Massage is designed to reach the deep portions of thick muscles, specifically the individual muscle fibers. Using deep muscle compression and friction along the grain of the muscle, its purpose is to “unstuck” the fibers of the muscles and release both toxins and deeply held patterns of tension.

Brief Outline

  1. Common neck & shoulder problems 
  2. Techniques/exercises use to strengthen muscles in neck, hand, wrist and arm. (e.g., grip strengthening, wrist flexion stretch, wrist extension stretch, tendon gliding exercises, shoulder shrugs etc)  
  3. Prevention measures to keep neck, hands, wrist and arms in good condition.  
  4. Simple 5 step hand massage to increase blood circulation and reduce pain/numbness in hands/wrists.

Interesting info 

It has been estimated by scientists that laughing 100 times equals the same physical exertion as a 10 minute workout on a rowing machine or 15 minutes on a stationary exercise bike. Laughing works out the diaphragm, abdominal, respiratory, facial, leg, and back muscles. 

What is laughter therapy?

laughter yogaLaughter Therapy is a physically oriented technique that uses a blend of playful, empowering and otherwise "tension-releasing" simple laughter exercises (such as lion/lioness laughter, coffee/tea laughter, bow and arrow laughter etc).

With gentle yoga-breathing and -stretching exercises, rhythmic clapping and chanting of Ho Ho Ha Ha Ha in unison a simulated laughter turns into real laughter.
Laughter Yoga is done as a way to improve health, increase well-being and promote peace in the world through personal transformation. It is non-religious, non-sectarian, and non-political. The session may be adapted to suit the needs, abilities and motivations of the group participating.

Colour Therapy can be used for any problem whether, physical, mental, emotional or spiritual for specific problems as well as an over all relaxation therapy. Colour Therapy can be used safely and effectively - either alone or alongside any other therapy, whether complementary or orthodox medicine - for adults, children, babies and non-human animals alike.

Herbal Remedies 2- Internal Cleansing 


While some people may dismiss herbal remedies as quackery, the use of botanicals is well rooted in medical practice. In the United States, more than 1,500 botanicals are sold as dietary supplements; top-selling herbs include echinacea, garlic, goldenseal, ginseng, ginkgo, saw palmetto, aloe, ephedra, Siberian ginseng, and cranberry. 

Participants will learn: 

  • The different types of fruits, herbs and vegetables that could be used to assist in treating various ailments such as sore throat, hypertension, varicose veins, morning sickness, indigestion etc.

Yoga’s calming effects are a great benefit for those who experience stress. Sometimes it is hard to calm the mind down and relax enough to fall asleep. Most of us have experience those nights. If you can’t sleep, try using calming poses to help yourself relax. Gentle moments and inversions are good choices. Remember to breathe slowly and fully. Soon you would probably fall asleep without knowing.

Beginners’ Course

Designed to take the mystery out of how to move the body with understanding and without pain.

Intermediate Course

Our most advanced classes for those with previous yoga training who are strong in standing poses and inversions. Designed for those who wish to challenge their postures.

Children’s Class

Children ages 10-14 are invited to learn and play the YogaKids way. The style and pace of the class addresses the natural interests, needs and rhythms of children. Activities include yoga poses, games, stories and relaxation techniques.

The full duration for each course is 1 hour. However, participants can sign up on a per class basis or the full 6 sessions. 


Yubiwaza Self Defence  

Duration: Approx 1 hour 30 minutes   


  • Nerve centers to concentrate to disarm an attacker/aggressor.
  • Breathing techniques to maximize the use of the mind and not physical strength.
  • Simple striking techniques to stall an attacker.
  • Imagery technique to improve concentration skills.

Touch Rugby Clinic (beginners and advanced) 

Programme Main Objectives:  

At the end of the programme, participants will be able to:  

  • Know basic touch rugby skills
  • Learn the terminology and appreciate the mental skills of the game

Touch Rugby or TOUCH, as it is known, is a minimal contact sport that is played worldwide by men, women and children of all ages. The game emphasizes running, agility and ball handling skills such as pass and catching. 

Looking something similar to Rugby, without the tackling, scrumming, kicking and the like, the aim of the game is to score tries. Played on a flat surface, half the size of a conventional sports field, Touch rugby is “The Game taking the World by Storm”.

 Three Balls Juggling! 

 Duration: Approx 1.5 hours per session 


Ever asked yourself 'what is juggling'? Probably not - you probably have better things to do. Anyway, it's pretty obvious that juggling is about throwing things in the air and catching them, right? In a way that's true, but there can be more to it than that, for example contact juggling, where the whole point is that the objects stay in constant contact with your body.  

You could probably learn to juggle three balls in a day if you practice hard (yes, even you!) You don't need fantastic coordination or even any special equipment (oranges make pretty good juggling balls). So getting started is pretty easy and then it's up to you where you want to take it. You could start learning some tricks with three balls - some of those would probably only take you a couple more days, but others could take weeks. Or you might want to get into juggling larger numbers - this gets much harder the more you do.

Beginners’ Course

Learn the fundamentals of juggling and master how to juggle one, two and three balls through the “Cascade” method.

Intermediate Course

Once you mastered the basics of one, two and three balls juggling, graduate to coordinated group juggling whereby you will learn how to juggle in pairs and in groups of three or more!

Children’s Class

Juggling is for all ages and everyone! Start early and let your children indulge in an activity that improves their hand-eye coordination and dexterity, heighten their mental alertness, keep fit and have fun all at the same time!
